Visit the Phoenix Zoo

The Phoenix zoo is the largest privately owned non-profit zoo in the country. It has more than 1000 animals on exhibit, which the Zoo ensures that they have an appropriate habitat. This might make it hard to see some of these animals. The Phoenix Zoo plays an important role of actively conserving wildlife programs. The Phoenix zoo takes part in different local and international efforts on behalf of endangered species such as the Sumatran tiger, thick-billed parrot, Mexican wolf, Asian elephant, black-footed ferret and Bornean orangutan.

You can see all the things that the Phoenix Zoo has to offer. All you have to do is walk around the walking trails. The Zoo has almost two and a half miles of these trails. The trails are named as the Arizona Trail, the Africa Trail, the Tropics Trail, the Discovery Trail, and the African Savanna as the major areas. Additionally, you can take a pedal boat ride in the lake, enjoy snacks, or take a leisure ride around the zoo on the Safari Shuttle.

 

Phoenix Art Museum

The exhibits at the Phoenix Art Museum are appealing to different age groups. There are also on-site restaurants such as Palette and gift shop known as the Museum Store. These places are good since you will not be hungry as you are walking around and you can also buy gifts for your loved ones.

The museum is located at the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix and welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. However, on Wednesday, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. while on Sundays it is open from 12 O’clock to 5 p.m. The charges are $9 for children between 6 and 17 year and $18 for adults.

Pot of Gold Festival

This music festival takes place around St. Patrick’s Day and serves as a great excuse to bring in some of the top hip-hop, r&b, and EDM artists to the Valley. Since 2005, the festival has grown tremendously in popularity. People all over the U.S. and others from the foreign countries ensure that they go to Arizona, hoping it is their lucky day once the clock strikes midnight.

You will be able to listen to music from two live bands and other prominent artists from the U.S. The live bands provide diverse lineup that satisfies eclectic tastes. Pots of Gold puts on heavy-hitting performances, which feature hip-hop artists, ska punk bands, alternative metal groups, and others.

The festival will take place in March 2020 in Chandler, but the exact dates are not confirmed. For more information, visit their website.

Arizona Taco Festival

It is a one day Smörgåsbord that feature different chefs, restaurants, taco stands and joints, and food trucks. All these are competing for the title of the best taco as well as a cash prize of $10,000. Also, there will be Chihuahua pageants, tequila cocktails, live rock music, cooking demos, eating contestants, and professional wrestling.

The dates are yet to be confirmed, but it will take place on October 2020 at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Scottsdale AZ 85260. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Michelada Festival
